This butterfly only started to appear in summer 2006. The damp weather in 2007 seems to have been good for them: they were often the only butterflies around in June. They seem to prefer the damper, more shady areas of long-grass on the edges of the rides and glades. It looks like 2009 is going to be another bumper year.
